A photo op with Don Quixote

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we won't be taking a summer vacation this year, but we plan to enjoy a few day trips instead. Today my husband and I went to Alcalá de Henares, a city near Madrid. Among other fascinating sites, we visited the house, now a museum, where Miguel de Cervantes was born and spent his early childhood. A statue on a bench in front begs tourists to stop for a photo.

¡Gracias! Don Q was given to make declamations to whoever would listen.

or see if my sister has any postcards left of a ceramic sculpture she made some years back. It portrays her taking a picture of a different sculpture of Don Quixote. It's extremely colorful and cute. The name of the sculpture is "Me and Don Q", and I think you'd love it.

This is a picture of my seester, with half of her sculpture, "Don Q and Me". This is a postcard taken for an art show in which it was featured in 1993 or so.
