El Gong Show

Speaking of television you might not have expected (for good reason), yes, it's a remake of the Gong Show -- the Spain version, and it debuts in a couple of hours. That's what they're calling it, El Gong Show. Eventually, the winners of each week will compete in the finals to be el rey del gong (the gong king).

You can read about it in the press notes (if you read Spanish):

The competition on other channels includes Mujeres Deseperadas (Desperate Housewives), Los Hombres de Paco (a Spanish police drama series), Hospital Central (a Spanish hospital drama series), a recap of today's events in the trial of the Al Qaeda terrorists who bombed Madrid commuter trains in 2004, and Infiltrados (Stingers). I think I'll catch up on my reading.
