I just learned that my short story "Spiders" will be included in this spring's anthology, Year's Best Science Fiction #14, edited by David G. Hartwell and Kathryn Cramer.
I am thrilled. And honored.
"Spiders" originally appeared in the March 2008 Asimov's Science Fiction magazine. It tells how, on a distant planet, a man and his young son take a walk in a forest where the plants and animals are not what they seem.
This story is written within the world of my novel Transplants, which is earnestly looking for a publisher.
