Madrid's fourth International Literary Cabaret will be held Tuesday, February 15, from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m. at Café Isadora, calle Divino Pastor 14.
I will be reading, and it's an open mic, so you can, too. I'll be reading in Spanish from my award-winning article, No cagaos en la Maritoñi, available here:
Read your own prose or poetry or works by your favorite writers, act out a scene from a play, sing, read your short story or essay, or just improvise. Emphasis on English or Spanish, but other languages are welcome. Ideally, aim for something about 3 to 5 minutes long.
If participating isn't for you, just come and enjoy. No fees or cover charges, and the drink prices at Café Isadora are reasonable in case you come thirsty. It's in the Malasaña neighborhood near metro stations Bilbao and San Bernardo.
